Tenants Extra Support Scheme

If you are a Knowsley resident the TESS Team can help you. TESS is funded through Supporting People, so it is a free service to you.
An experienced TESS Project Officer can come and visit you at home at a time to suit you.
Together you can discuss the things you may be struggling with for example, housing issues, rent arrears, debt, changes in health. A Project officer will work with you to sort out your problems this may be by helping you claim benefits or telling you about other services that can help.
How Floating Support Can Help?
  • Advice on completing forms for benefits and housing.
  • Understanding your rights regarding the Department of Work and Pensions and Housing & Council Tax benefits.
  • Understanding and maintaining your tenancy agreement and understanding your housing rights.
  • Advocacy, that is, speaking to other organisations on your behalf.
  • Signposting you to relevant agencies for advice & support.
  • Budgeting money, managing debts and rent arrears.
  • Advice regarding your home, personal safety & security.
  • Advice on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
  • Access to leisure, cultural & social activities, educational courses, employment or voluntary work.
